LEHIGH ACRES -- A shopping center anchored by Bealls and Save-A-Lot in Lehigh Acres sold for $4.9 million, according to a press release.

James Medefind and Michael Jaworski, retail specialists in Marcus & Millichap's Tampa office, handled the transaction of the 74,315-square foot property. The buyer, listed as a private investor, is based in Florida. The seller is a limited liability company from Texas.

“The increase in buyer activity and aggressive offers is a good indication that the retail market is beginning to recover and investors have a positive outlook for the market,” says Medefind in the release.

The center was built in 1982. Bradenton-based retailer Bealls and Save-A-Lot occupy 45% of the complex.
