Branch breaks sales records

SARASOTA — The local branch of Bankers Life and Casualty, a life and health insurance firm, was named the company's top sales office in the country.

Hasan Jaber, the leader of the Sarasota-based office, was also named the company's top branch manager for the record-setting 2011 results, according to a release. Jaber was awarded the company's “Soaring Eagle” award, the highest honor a branch sales manager can receive. He was also awarded first place awards for new agent development, agent productivity and sales performance.

Jaber has led the branch since 1985. “Hasan and his team have proven to be the best of the best,” Bankers President Scott Perry says in a release. “His leadership and presence inspire those around him to achieve success. He is a credit to our entire organization.”

Chicago-based Bankers Life and Casualty has more than 200 branches with 5,000 agents. It is a subsidiary of CNO Financial Group.
