PRICE: $1.3 million

PLANS, DESCRIPTION: The Lahser Interspecies Research Foundation purchased the six-unit Bokeelia Tarpon Inn for $1.3 million.

The price equated to $215,833 per unit and $261 per square foot.

The 4,968-square-foot historic bed and breakfast was built by Poe Johnson in 1914. All of the units include full private bathrooms. The waterfront property also features two boat docks and boat lifts.

The Lahser Interspecies Research Foundation is a Michigan-based nonprofit organization focused on fighting the spread of plant and animal pathogens. Calls to its principal Dr. Scott Karlene were not returned prior to deadline.
