Manatee paint firm plans 28 hires

BRADENTON — Bioni USA and Americas plans to consolidate its operations in a single facility in Manatee County and add 28 jobs over five years, according to the Manatee Economic Development Corp.

Bioni, a distributor of coatings for walls, ceilings and roofs, will combine its current distribution in Palmetto with its Sarasota headquarters and sales office into a 1,950-square-foot facility in south Manatee County.

Manatee County Commissioners provided $56,000 in incentives based in part on the company paying employees 50% more than the average county wage.

The German-based company currently employs four people in Palmetto and Sarasota and plans to consolidate its operation next month. The company sells non-toxic wall and roof coatings that prevent the growth of mold, mildew and bacteria.
