Goff Communications buys warehouses, cranes for $1.25M

BUYER: Goff Communications Inc. (principals: James Goff and Darryl Kroeze), Bradenton

SELLER: Penn-Mar Inc.

PROPERTY: 6711 26th Court E., Sarasota

PRICE: $1.25 million

LAW FIRM ON DEED: Greene Hamrick Perrey Quinlan & Schermer PA, Bradenton

PLANS, DESCRIPTION: Goff Communications Inc. purchased the 40,226-square-foot former Shrum Steel warehouse and distribution building for $1.25 million.

The price equated to $31 per square foot.

Originally constructed in 1973, the metal building occupies a 3.09-acre site in Penn-Mar Industrial Park. The building featured 25-foot tall ceilings and outdoor storage.

The sale also included two three-ton cranes.

Goff Communications, which builds cell phone towers, purchased the building as additional warehousing space.

Bob and Roberta Kolton of Michael Saunders & Co. represented the seller and Shaune Hotchkiss of Re/Max Harbor Realty represented the buyer.
