PARRISH — Bradenton-based Medallion Home has purchased the remaining lots, more than 100, in River Plantation, a master-planned new home community in north Manatee County.

Terms of the deal weren't disclosed. Medallion, according to a release, already has a presence in the community, which has space for 457 homes. The homebuilder has two new models under construction, and prices start at $154,000. Sizes of the homes range from 1,612 square feet to more than 3,000 square feet. The community is near the Manatee River in Parrish.

Medallion builds homes in several other Manatee County communities. It also builds in Sarasota, Venice, North Port, and Mount Dora. Homebuilder Carlos Beruff founded Medallion in 1984, and the firm has been on a comeback after it took a big dip in the recession. It closed 142 homes sales in 2011, for $42.6 million in revenues. That was up from $10.66 million in 2009 and $32.84 million in 2010. The firm has 50 employees. Click here to read the Business Review story about the business' recovery.
