Lee Roy Selmon's buys building for Brandon restaurant

BUYER: MVP LRS Propco Brandon LLC (principals: Nicholas Reader, Robert Basham and Chris Sullivan), Tampa

SELLER: Eat Pizza Properties LLC

PROPERTY: 11310 Causeway Blvd., Brandon

PRICE: $1.65 million

PREVIOUS PRICE: $1.84 million, May 2005

LAW FIRM ON DEED: D2 Law Group PL, Tampa

PLANS, DESCRIPTION: MVP Holdings, the company behind the Lee Roy Selmon's restaurant chain, purchased a 5,969-square-foot former Giordano's Italian restaurant building in Brandon for $1.65 million.

The price equated to $276 per square foot. The east Tampa building was constructed in 1998.

The restaurant chain has announced that the Brandon building will be the eighth Lee Roy Selmon's in Florida. The new restaurant is scheduled to open this summer.

JoAnn Ferlita of Property Pro represented the seller and Alex Dunser of D2 Law Group represented the buyer. Ferlita is also listing another former Giordano's in New Port Richey.

A similar company, MVP PDQ Propco LLC, also has purchased a 5,360-square-foot former Perkins restaurant building at 12650 N. Dale Mabry Highway, Tampa, for $1.6 million.

The purchase entity MVP LRS Propco Brandon LLC mortgaged the Causeway Boulevard property to Anderen Bank for $2 million.
