BRADENTON -- Medallion Home closed on 142 home sales in 2011, generating $42.6 million in revenues for the company.
Revenues have quadrupled from 2009, from $10.66 million in that year, to $32.84 million in 2010, to this year's record-breaking performance. New home sales increased as well, from 140 units in 2010 to 190 in 2011.
Employment at the firm is back to pre-recession levels. Those numbers have bounced from 48 employees in 2005, to 14 in 2008, back to 50 this year.
In an interview with the Business Review in September, Medallion Home owner and President Carlos Beruff said the company's employment decisions provided cash for the downturn, which proved fortuitous. “The key to surviving all this,” said Beruff, “is to have a lot of liquidity.”
