Salad franchise hits Tampa Bay

BRANDON -- Saladworks, a fresh salad restaurant franchise, will open a new location in Brandon in mid-2012.

Calvin and Felicia Rucker will operate the location. The two have signed a three-store franchise agreement with Saladworks, although no plans have yet been set for subsequent openings.

John Scardapane, CEO at Saladworks, says expanding beyond its home state of Pennsylvania is “an integral part of our growth plan.”

Saladworks operates from 100 locations in 12 states, and has five new agreements outstanding for new markets, including Texas and South Carolina. The company hopes to open more than 20 new U.S. locations in 2012.
