Dentsply International buys Hi-Stat facilities

PLANS, DESCRIPTION: York, Pa.-based Dentsply International Inc. purchased the 120,600-square-foot former Hi-Stat production and manufacturing buildings for $4 million.

The price equated to $33 per square foot.

The main industrial manufacturing building features three-phase power and was originally built in 1989. It includes 99,500 square feet of air-conditioning manufacturing space, a clean room, and 13,600 square feet of corporate office space.

The 16.7-acre property also features a 7,500-square-foot pre-engineered building built in 1999, and 260 paved parking spaces.

Dentsply International's Dentsply Raintree Essix Glenroe currently operates from 6448 Parkland Drive, Sarasota.

Representatives from Dentsply International were not available to comment on the acquisition as of deadline.

Dentsply International is one of the world's largest makers of dental products.
