SARASOTA — Bio-Pro Research, a firm with a flagship product that removes the smell and stain of urine, has two new senior executives, including a CEO.

Roger Grenier, who has been Bio-Pro's chief financial officer and chief operating officer since 2009, was named CEO. Grenier has held executive positions in the public and private sectors, including a stint as an accounting director with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. Grenier was also a chief financial officer of a computer manufacturer.

Bio-Pro manufactures stain and odor removers and cleaning products under brand names that include Urine Off, CoffeeOFF, and WineOFF. Local entrepreneur Bill Hadley founded the firm, which operates a manufacturing and distribution facility in North Carolina, in addition to its corporate offices in Sarasota. Hadley will remain with the firm as chairman of the board.

“Over the past three years, Roger has done an excellent job in consolidating our operations in North Carolina and implementing necessary financial controls,” Hadley says in a release. “It is now time to utilize his organizational skills to take overall responsibility for the profitable growth of Bio-Pro Research.”

One of Grenier's first moves as CEO was to name Pete Batte vice president of national sales. Batte has held senior sales positions in the janitorial and sanitation industry for more than 20 years, according to a press release.
