TAMPA — QualaWash Holdings, a truck tank and container washing firm for the bulk transportation industry with more than 50 locations nationwide, is expanding into markets in Utah and West Virginia.

The Tampa-based firm acquired Stallion Tank LLC of Salt Lake City, and Charleston, W.Va.-based Sparkle Klean, according to a statement. Terms of the acquisitions weren't released.

“The purchase of both locations is a strong strategic move for us at this time as we continue to expand our footprint,” QualaWash CEO Mike Bauer says in the statement. “Both facilities have solid reputations in their markets and will allow QualaWash to better service and expand our reach to all customers doing business in the mountain states and Appalachian regions.”

QualaWash's niche is in cleaning the inside and outside of tanks and containers on large trucks, including ones transporting industrial oils, resins and paints. It uses proprietary cleaning and residual waste formulas, and the company also provides supply chain management services.

Atlanta-based private equity firm Roark Capital Group acquired a stake in QualaWash earlier this year.
