PLANS, DESCRIPTION: Sarasota yard waste recycler 1 Stop Landscape & Supply Yardwaste Recycling Facility Inc. purchased 73 acres east of U.S. 301 for $2.1 million.

The price equated to $28,767 per acre.

The property was previously owned by an entity owned by Sarasota builder/developer Fred Starling.

Calls to the company's owner, John Desrosiers, were not returned prior to publication.

The company, which was started in 1987 as a brick paver, recycles unwanted trees and grass clippings. It employs 17, according to its website.

1 Stop Landscape & Supply Yardwaste Recycling Facility mortgaged the property to 1st Manatee Bank for $2.5 million.
