FORT MYERS — IberiaBank of Lafayette, La., has converted all the branches and operating systems of Florida Gulf Bank in Fort Myers to its brand, the company announced.

Most visibly, the Florida Gulf Bank signs were changed over the weekend of Aug. 17. “Our Lee County franchise now includes a total of 11 branch locations with seven in Fort Myers, three in Cape Coral and one in Estero,” says Daryl Byrd, the CEO and president of IberiaBank.

IberiaBank acquired Fort Myers-based Florida Gulf Bank in July for about $41 million in one of the richest bank deals since the start of the financial crisis, boosting its presence on the Gulf Coast. As of June 30, Florida Gulf Bank had $357 million in assets and IberiaBank had $12.1 billion in assets.

IberiaBank entered Florida's Gulf Coast market when it acquired two failed banks in 2009: Orion Bank in Naples and Century Bank in Sarasota.
