It turns out businesswomen are on the road as much as their male counterparts, and one Fort Myers hotel has set aside rooms just for them.

The Crowne Plaza hotel in Fort Myers created 16 rooms just for women business travelers after a two-room test in the spring proved successful.

Here are some of the things you'll find in these specially designed rooms: yoga DVDs with mats and blocks, a titanium flat iron, Neutrogena facial cleanser, nail polish and makeup remover, chap stick, cotton balls and slippers. In addition, the rooms have been repainted with soothing colors and the beds have all-white linens with shams that match the room color.

Jim Larkin, the hotel's general manager, says surveys showed that about half of the weekday guests were women business travelers. He and his staff analyzed any specific requests they made when they redesigned the rooms. Although the rooms have been available only a few months, women business travelers now specifically request these rooms when they book, he says.
