NAPLES — Encore National Bank will receive $5 million to lend to small businesses through the U.S. Treasury Department's Small Business Lending Fund.

The fund was created in 2010 as part of the Small Business Jobs Act of 2010, designating $30 billion in federal funding to be used as capital for qualified community banks.

Led by CEO and President Tom Ray, Encore National Bank was featured in an April issue of the Gulf Coast Business Review (see “Staging an Encore,” April 8).
