PLANS, DESCRIPTION: A limited liability company managed by Sarasota attorney Paul Beitlich purchased the former Owen Motors dealership property on U.S. 301 and a nearby vacant parcel for $624,000.

The purchase entity Family Dollar 2 LLC plans to develop an 8,300-square-foot Family Dollar store on the southeast portion of the property.

Beitlich, an attorney with Icard Merrill Cullis Timm Furen & Ginsberg PA, didn't response to calls for comment prior to deadline.

James Bridges, owner of Jebco Ventures Inc., who was involved in the initial site plan for the project, says his company won't be the developer of the project. Bridges previously told the Sarasota Observer that the northern portion of the property would likely be a future retail development.

In March, the Stearns Bank NA took title to the property and Owen Motors relocated its business to 1835 N. Washington Blvd.

Family Dollar 2 LLC mortgaged the property to First America Bank for $1 million.
