SARASOTA — Obscene Jeans Corp. named Rachel Stark-Cappelli its new CEO in a release Tuesday morning. Stark-Cappelli was the company's lead designer before taking over as the company's head executive.

The firm's announcement of its executive shuffle makes no mention of Robert Federowicz, the former CEO being replaced by Stark-Cappelli. When the Business Review spoke to Federowicz in July, the Houston-based executive with experience in the energy industry said he imagined Obscene Jeans eventually diversifying its line of products to include hair care products, and even personal electronics. Recently, Obscene Jeans reported that it was working on a multimillion-dollar financing agreement, although none of the potential investors was identified.

In an SEC filing issued in July, Obscene Jeans said it would need $500,000 in financing to cover its next 18 months of business operations, with $150,000 going toward design, and the remainder being used for production.
