Victoria Stephan, the longtime president of Junior Achievement Southwest Florida, is stepping down in December.

Known for its must-attend events such as the Business Hall of Fame awards, Junior Achievement now teaches financial literacy to more than 10,000 students in Charlotte, Collier and Lee counties.

During her 11-year tenure, Stephan grew student participation by 425% and the JA programs are now part of the mandated curriculum in Lee and Collier schools.

Stephan says she's stepping down to spend more time with her family and work with her alma mater, Agnes Scott College near Atlanta.
