BUYER: Hillsborough Center Inc. (principals: Sam and Laurice Hachem), Tampa

SELLER: Syms Corp.

PROPERTY: 3251 W. Hillsborough Ave., Tampa

PRICE: $3 million

PREVIOUS PRICE: $3.37 million, July 1989

LAW FIRM ON DEED: Fowler White Boggs PA, Tampa

PLANS, DESCRIPTION: Tampa investors Sam and Laurice Hachem purchased the 77,400-square-foot mixed-used/retail building for $3 million.

The price equated to $39 per square foot.

Constructed in 1972, the building occupies a 5.77-acre site.

The building is fully leased to Everest University, according to Laurice Hachem. The couple was attracted to the property because of its price compared to income.

The Hachems purchased the 119,502-square-foot Columbus Plaza shopping center in Tampa in early 2010 for $2.8 million. Their property management company SLH Property Management Inc. handles both properties.
