TALLAHASSEE -- Gov. Rick Scott issued another executive order this week that attempts to reduce regulatory rulemaking, the News Service of Florida reports.

After the Florida Supreme Court ruled against his first attempt at reducing rulemaking activity, Scott's newest order re-establishes the Office of Fiscal Accountability and Regulatory Reform as a board that will review new rules, rather than approve or reject them.

Scott first attempted to create a rule-approving entity with Executive Order 11-01, but the court struck that proposal down in August. For more information on the ongoing process, read “Rules Redux,” from an Aug. 19 issue of the Business Review.
