TALLAHASSEE --Â Associated Industries of Florida retained Korn/Ferry International to lead its search for a new chief executive officer. Barney Bishop resigned from his role as the group's CEO and president in August.
Korn/Ferry will work with former State Representative Trey Traviesa, chair of AIF's Search Committee, to identify candidates for the group's executive vacancy. While that search goes on, Cecil Pearce will lead AIF as interim managing director.
Korn/Ferry has posted the high-profile opening at AIF to its website. Headquarterd in Los Angeles, the executive recruitment firm operates a network of 80 placement offices in 40 countries.
Since 1920, AIF has been one of Florida's most influential business lobbying groups. Today it represents more than 10,000 Florida businesses.
