PLANS, DESCRIPTION: After five-and-a-half years, Crosspoint Christian Church of Cape Coral Inc. has a permanent home. Crosspoint purchased the 10,826-square-foot former Grace Baptist Church building on 11th Place for $800,000.

The price equated to $74 per square foot.

The church holds its services at Mariner High School.

“This was a really good deal for us,” says Jeff Swearingen, lead pastor for Crosspoint. “The price was very affordable for us. This will give us a 24-hours-a-day, seven-days-a-week home. We always try to plan for the future, and this allowed us to truly plant ourselves in the city.”

Swearingen says the church plans to make a few improvements to the building and other cosmetic changes with the hope of operating there in the next two or three months.

The church mortgaged the 9.19-acre property to Christian Financial '¨Resource Inc. for $800,000.
