BRADENTON -- The Ipe Clip Fastener Company LLC relocated its headquarters from South Carolina to Manatee County. Ipe Clip plans to hire 80 local employees over the next five years, a release issued by the Manatee Economic Development Council says.

If the company completes its 80 planned hirings, and pays each employee a wage 15% higher than the current prevailing county average, it will receive $80,000 in incentives from Manatee County government. Ipe Clip plans to fill 50 of those 80 spots by the end of 2012.

Ipe Clip has been conducting business operations in Manatee County since August, the EDC says, in a 70,000-square-foot building near State Road 70 and U.S. 301.
