Masonite posts $376M in sales

TAMPA -- Masonite International Corp., a door manufacturer, generated $376 million in net sales in the third quarter, up 12.3% over the year. Through the first nine months of the year the company has generated $1.1 billion in sales.

Earlier this month, the company expanded its business by acquiring Birchwood Best, a Wisconsin-based part manufacturer, for $41.5 million. Birchwood generates more than $40 million in annual revenues.

Even after the Birchwood acquisition, Masonite's liquidity position remains strong; the company had access to $286.1 million in funds as of Sept. 30, against $103.5 million in net debt.
