BONITA SPRINGS — WCI Communities made several changes to its executive leadership this week, both adding new members to the team, as well as reassigning veteran staff to new focus areas.

Douglas Schwartz is the new senior vice president of homebuilding for the firm, responsible for all aspects of new construction. Schwartz previously served as senior vice president of community operations for WCI, and has been with the company for 20 years.

Replacing Schwartz at the head of community operations is Paul Erhardt. Erhardt will oversee all community design and planning, including land acquisition and entitlement, permitting and land development.

Additionally, Jason Wyrick is the new vice president of purchasing; Laura Johnston has been named vice president of marketing; and Tom Fichter is vice president of construction.

Johnston joins WCI in a full-time capacity after having worked for the company as a marketing consultant. Fichter is a new addition as well, coming over from Taylor Morrison.

WCI Communities' entire executive team will be lead by president and CEO David Fry. The Business Review featured an updated story on WCI's recent business growth earlier this year (See “This new house,” Jan. 6).
