SARASOTA — A sale of a 10,000-sqaure-foot home on Casey Key closed July 15 for $7.58 million, the second-highest price paid for a home in Sarasota County in 2011.
The purchase price was also the highest amount paid for a Casey Key home since November 2009. The home, on 1.65 acres, sits on 200 feet of Gulf of Mexico shoreline. Features include two master suites, one up and one down; an eight-car garage; a summer kitchen; a disappearing edge swimming pool and spa; and a separate caretaker's building.
Sarasota-based Michael Saunders & Co. broker Linda Roe Dickinson listed the home. Dickinson has been the top producing agent at Michael Saunders & Co. for seven consecutive years.
