Peltz Shoes to add Sarasota store

SARASOTA — Peltz Shoes, a shoe retailer headquartered in Clearwater, has announced that it will expand its footprint in the Sarasota market with a new location on Stickney Point Road, according to a press release.

The 8,700-square-foot retail site will open in the fall of this year as the second store servicing the Sarasota area and fifth store on the Gulf Coast. It will be located near Siesta Key.

The move is part of a growth trend for the firm — Peltz opened a distribution facility to handle Internet orders three months ago.
