PLANS, DESCRIPTION: New Port Richey-based Sunfield Homes Inc. and its affiliated investment firm Amberglen Development Inc. purchased 83 acres in the Simmons Loop area of Riverview for $2.3 million.

The price equated to $27,711 per acre.

The property was acquired as an investment, according to Sunfield Homes' manager Patricia Buck. The new owners plan to the hold the property until the residential market improves with the goal of eventually developing a community on the property.

“We would develop it and sell the lots to builders,” Buck says. “We liked a little bit of everything [about the property]. We liked the location, the price and the potential.”
