SELLER: Florida Properties II LLC


PROPERTY: lots 19, 21, 57, 59, 69, 71-76 and 78 Rye Wilderness Estates, phase II, and lots 1, 5, 6, 22-31, 41-44, 46, 47, 49-77, Rye Wilderness Estates III a portion of on North Rye Road north of State Road 64 near Rye Wilderness Park


PRICE: $1.95 million

PLANS, DESCRIPTION: Homebuilder D.R. Horton Inc. purchased 60 home lots in the Rye Wilderness Estates subdivision for $1.95 million.


The price equated to $32,500 per lot.


Fort Worth, Texas-based D.R. Horton now owns 84 lots in the subdivision. The company expects to have a model and several spec homes constructed there within the next four months.


“We were attracted to its good location,” says Darren Saltzberg, vice president of sales and marketing for the Tampa-Sarasota division of D.R. Horton. “It also has large home sites; all of them are a half acre.”


Homes start at $200,000.
