SDI acquires Stratus Healthcare

Tampa-based SDI Diagnostic Imaging, a radiologist-owned provider of healthcare-imaging services, acquired Brandon-based Stratus Healthcare, a full-service teleradiology provider, to form SDI Teleradiology Inc., which will provide day-and-night teleradiology services.

Former Stratus Healthcare CEO David Six will assume the role of senior vice president of SDI Teleradiology. Micah Ferguson and Matt Blackburn, former company vice presidents, will become directors. 

Pfister Energy partners with McEnany Contracting
Part of a planned national expansion, Pfister Energy Inc. has partnered with Tampa-based general contractor McEnany Contracting Inc. to launch Pfister Energy of Florida LLC
From a new office in Tampa, it will develop turnkey renewable energy and energy efficiency projects in the southeast.

“With offices in New Jersey, Maryland, and Florida, we are now positioned to be a leader in the development and installation of alternative energy systems throughout the East Coast,” Wayne Pfisterer of Paterson, N.J.-based Pfister Energy, said in a press release. “We're focused on continuing this growth in California, Arizona, Colorado, and several other states.”

Pfister Energy of Florida will offer clean-energy solutions in photovoltaics, solar lighting, solar thermal, green roofing, wind turbines, daylighting and fuel cell technology. In addition to federal incentive programs, the State of Florida offers incentives to further support the deployment of these technologies.

Mike McEnany, president of the new Pfister LLC, said in a press release. “We are thrilled to join the Pfister team, and are looking forward to making renewable energy a reality for forward-thinking corporations here in the State of Florida.”

Husler returns, two promotions at Bank of Florida Trust
At Naples-based Bank of Florida Trust Co., Julie Husler has returned as CEO, and Hector Sikes and Lane DeCost have been promoted to president and chief investment officer, respectively.

Under Husler's previous leadership, the trust company grew to $500 million in assets under advice and $1 million in revenue. In 2008, she become executive vice president, financial services delivery manager for parent company Bank of Florida Corp., where she developed a new model for relationship management and private banking.

Michael L. McMullan, president and CEO of Bank of Florida Corp., said in a press release. “She has been instrumental in integrating the value of a relationship-based approach to financial services, and we have seen the success of this model through increased deposits in our three bank affiliates.”

Bank of Florida Corp. is the $1.5 billion-asset parent company for Bank of Florida Trust Co. and three area bank affiliates.

New Bahraini mobile provider using Syniverse technology
VIVA, a planned new Bahraini mobile telecom provider and part of STC Group, has selected Tampa-based Syniverse Technologies' suite of 10 roaming, messaging, network and turnkey solutions.

Syniverse now provides services to all of the Saudi Telecom Co. Group affiliates throughout the region.

When its network launches later this year, VIVA will become the third mobile operator in Bahrain. It will use an array of Syniverse MORESM roaming solutions, including Data Clearing House for GSM, Financial Clearing House for GSM, Roaming Management Services and Syniverse DataNet, plus two Syniverse NEXTSM messaging solutions, and Managed Welcome SMS.

“Thanks to surging demand for mobile data, the Middle East and North Africa are experiencing tremendous mobile growth,” Eugene Bergen Henegouwen, executive vice president of Syniverse, said in a press release.

Syniverse Technologies provides more than 800 communications companies with technology solutions. Saudi Telecom Co. has more than 93 million subscribers in Malaysia, Indonesia, India, Kuwait, Turkey, South Africa, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia and Jordan.
