Omni Cable Corp. buys Riverview warehouse

PLANS, DESCRIPTION: West Chester, Pa.-based Omni Cable Corp. purchased a 25,676-square-foot distribution warehouse for $1.3 million.

The price equated to $51 per square foot.

The national wire and cable distributor bought the building to expand its Southeast operations and better handle its distribution network in Florida. The South Falkenburg Road building is significantly larger than the firm's existing 16,000-square-foot facility in Tampa.

The company was attracted to the building's central location near Interstate 75 and I-4 and the Lee Roy Selmon Crosstown Expressway, says Matt Brady, who handles corporate marketing for Omni Cable.

Omni Cable has stocking locations in Philadelphia, Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Denver, Houston, Los Angeles, San Francisco, St. Louis and Tampa.
