Hawkins Cos.' firm buys Northpointe Parkway land

PRICE: $1.91 million

PLANS, DESCRIPTION: Resource Real Estate purchased 18 acres of grazing land for $1.91 million.

The price equated to $104,565 per acre.

Resource Real Estate is a division of The Hawkins Cos., an Atlanta-based real estate development firm. The purchase was a long-term investment, according to John Crane, manager of development services for Hawkins.

“It could have a number of uses, but we are thinking it would be a great office location,” Crane says. “We are looking at large corporate users.”

Crane says Resource Real Estate was attracted to the site because of its location near Interstate 75. The building is on Northpointe Parkway, east of the Suncoast Parkway.

Mike Hogan of The Hogan Group in Lutz will market the property for the new ownership.
