Sembler's Winter Garden wins design, development award

Winter Garden Village at Fowler Groves, developed by The Sembler Co., won the inaugural International Council of Shopping Centers' U.S. Design and Development Shopping Center Awards in the category of 'Innovative Design and Development of a New Project over 500,000 square feet'.

Winter Garden Village at Fowler Groves is an open-air shopping center divided into three sections: The Exchange, The Crossings, and The Grove. The Exchange is a row of larger tenants that lines StoneyBrook Parkway East. The Crossings runs along part of Daniels Road and through much of the shopping center. The Grove is located in the heart of Winter Garden Village. It's designed to have a neighborhood atmosphere and honor the citrus-based heritage of Winter Garden.

At more than 1 million square feet, Winter Garden Village is The Sembler Co.'s largest project developed. The center opened in November 2007 and is anchored by Target, Lowe's, Best Buy, Old Navy and Sports Authority.
