June 5: Business ethics: The Uncommon Friends Foundation, an organization that promotes good corporate ethics, will host a dinner to announce the winner of its 2008 business ethics award at the Hyatt Regency Coconut Point in Bonita Springs. June 10: Insurance concerns: The Longboat Key-Lido Key-St. Armands Key Chamber of Commerce will hold a meeting to address state insurance issues. The speakers include Jeff Grady, president and chief executive officer of the Florida Association of Insurance Agents, and Michael Carlson, director of legislative affairs for the offfice of Chief Financial Officer of Florida. June 12: CoolTech 2008: The Tampa Bay Technology Forum will host an event to highlight the coolest new technologies including smart phones, self-driving cars, real time speech translation and robotics. The event will run from 3 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. at the Tampa Convention Center, 333 S. Franklin St., Tampa. The keynote speaker is Russell Romanella, the director of the International Space Station at NASA's Kennedy Space Center. June 17: Mayor meets developers: Tampa Mayor Pam Iorio will meet with commercial real estate executives who belong to the National Association of Industrial and Office Parks, Tampa Bay Chapter, at 7 a.m. at the law offices of Fowler White, 501 E. Kennedy Blvd., in Tampa. Cost is $50 for nonmembers; free for members.

July 10: Boost employee performance: The CEO Council of Tampa Bay will present a program designed to help CEOs inspire their employees from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. at the Centre Club, 123 S.
