Mayor meets developers: Tampa Mayor Pam Iorio will meet with commercial real estate executives who belong to the National Association of Industrial and Office Parks, Tampa Bay Chapter, at 7 a.m. at the law offices of Fowler White, 501 E. Kennedy Blvd., in Tampa. Cost is $50 for nonmembers; free for members.

Employee retention: The Economic Development Corp. of Sarasota County will hold a free workshop for manufacturers on retaining key employees from 8:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at Teleflex Electrical Systems, 6980 Professional Parkway E., Lakewood Ranch. Prosper in a tough market: The Real Estate Investment Society will hold a half-day commercial real estate investment forum starting at 8 a.m. in the Magnolia Room at Pelican Preserve in Fort Myers. Speakers will include Michael Timmerman of Fishkind & Associates, Ned Hale of Hale Law Group and commercial real estate experts David Douglas and Stan Stouder.
