Banks

• Bank of Commerce President and Chief Executive Officer Charles O. Murphy has been appointed to the American Bankers Association Government Relations Council.

Manufacturing

• Venice-based CCS Cabinetry hired Michael F. Bradley and promoted Ron Hartle as associates to its layout and field measuring department. Bradley and Hartle will be responsible for the accuracy and quality of blueprints generated to scale on CADD software. Prior to joining CCS Bradley was a sales and design engineer with Stephens Packaging in Miami. Hartle was previously supervising the granite, warehouse and delivery teams.

Board of Directors

• The Board of Directors of Gulf Coast Community Foundation of Venice has appointed its new officers for 2005-06. Dr. Joseph Thro, partner, RTR Urology, was appointed chairman. Jean Trammell, president of The Venice Co., was appointed vice chairman.

The other members are: Dr. Richard Conroy, the Rev. Chris Gray, James Hanks, Teri A. Hansen, Michael Hartley, Donald Hay, Martha Jarrett, Karl Kokomoor, Dorothy Korszen, Gratia Schroeder, Tiffany Taylor, Carol Tilley and Nelda Thompson.

Real Estate

• Michael Saunders & Co. announced the achievement of Lakewood Ranch associate Mary Hellhake, who recently earned the designation of "Certified Luxury Home Marketing Specialist" in recognition of her experience, knowledge and expertise in the luxury home market.

• The Founders Club has named Sharon Ross to the newly created position of director of marketing. Ross previously worked in the sales and marketing division of U.S. Assets Group.
