Ringling School of Art and Design

receives a national Gold ADDY

The Suncoast Advertising Federation announced the winners of this year's ADDY awards, a honor given to businesses producing outstanding work in the field of advertising.

One of the highest awards, a Gold ADDY at the national level, went to the Ringling School of Art and Design, which earned the Gold for its new admissions catalog. A record number of entries were compiled into the 2005 competition.

More than 1,800 were judged at the district level with three Gold and seven Silver Awards coming from the Suncoast district.

Manatee Chamber's award

The Manatee Chamber of Commerce announced its selection of Harry's Continental Kitchens as the 2005 Small Business of the Year in Category 4, $1 million to $5 million in annual sales. Forty-nine other businesses were in the running for these awards.

The nominees are judged on the financial success of their business and the level of customer satisfaction as well as employee enrichment and community contribution.

Bradenton-based Wyman, Green & Blalock Inc., an insurance company, has created a new business, Wyman, Green & Blalock Financial Services LLC, to provide financial services focusing on qualified and non-qualified retirement plans, executive compensation plans, corporate buy-sell funding and business continuation strategies.

• TRS Technology upgraded the existing e-commerce Web site and created a new health care aid for migraine patients: The Headache Relief Band.

• Braun-Goodlander Rehabilitation and Fitness Services opened a second clinic at 9114 58th Drive E., Suite 101, Bradenton.
