i The ADP Group hired Jeannette Simpson as an interior design associate.

Associations

i The Sarasota Young Professionals Group added new board members and several new appointees. They are Jaime Brown, community outreach; Erin Canniff, financial liaison; Lisl Liang, marketing and communications, Anand Pallegar, member at large; Sara Sheetz, member benefits; and Andrea Kazanjian, supporter membership.

i The Sarasota County Commission named Paul Mercier the boardis 2005 chair. Commissioner David Mills is the new vice-chair and Commissioner Nora Patterson will serve as chair pro tem.

i Century Bank hired Geraldine Spano as a mortgage loan originator. Spano previously worked for M&T Mortgage Corp., Buffalo, N.Y.

i The American Board of Trial Advocates announced its new officers: Jim Dirmann, president; Bob Lyons, president-elect; Gary Wilkins, representative; Teresa Jones, treasurer; and Steve Brannan, secretary and historian.

i Coldwell Banker Residential Real Estate Inc. announced that Deborah Beacham, a sales associate in the Sarasota downtown office, earned the e-Pro certification.

i The Venice Area Board of REALTORS Inc. announced that Brain Meurs received the honor of Venice REALTOR of the Year. Meurs is a broker/associate with Re/Max Properties of Venice.
