5:30 p.m., monthly meeting, Hurricane Charley - Lessons in Details. Presented by the Construction Specifications Institute Suncoast Chapter. The meeting will cover how building structures were impacted by "Charley," and what details during design and construction worked and didn't work to prevent damage. Hosted by the Sarasota/Manatee Metropolitan Planning Organization, the workshop at the Sarasota County Operations Center will look at ideas from the community about where roads, sidewalks, transit and other improvements are needed to make getting around easier.
