Stetson seeks nominations

for public service award

Names of nominees for the William Reece Smith Jr. Public Service Award must be submitted to Stetson University College of Law by March 29.

"This award recognizes individuals who have given their time and talents to help others and to improve their communities and the justice system," Stetson Dean Darby Dickerson said in a press release.

Smith, past president of the American, International and Florida bar associations, is a distinguished professorial lecturer at the school. Nominations should be sent to Dickerson, Stetson, 1401 61st St., S., Gulfport, Fla.

Past winners of the award, first given in 1990, include Smith, James K. Green, Paul Buchman, Gardner W. Beckett Jr., Michael Bedke, Martha Walters Barnett, James M. Barton Jr., Neal Sonnett, Pinellas Judge Lauren Hafner, Richard A. Gilbert, Steven D. Forester, U.S. District Judge Elizabeth Kovachevich, Karen Lopez and Professor Rebecca Morgan.

Noel McDonell joins

Macfarlane Ferguson

Noel P. McDonell joined Macfarlane Ferguson & McMullen PA as an eminent domain litigator.

McDonell is a former assistant prosecutor with the Office of Statewide Prosecution, where she worked in the computer crime and identity theft unit. Prior to that, she was a lead trial attorney with the Hillsborough state attorney's office.

An appointed member of the Florida Real Estate Commission, McDonell earned bachelor's and law degrees from Florida State University.

Carlton Fields elects two

new Tampa shareholders

Eric S. Adams and Sam J. Salario Jr. are two new elected shareholders in the Tampa office of Carlton Fields PA.

Adams principally practices products-premises liability defense, real estate litigation, guardianship and probate litigation law. A graduate of Marshall University, he earned a law degree in 1996 from Florida State University College of Law.

Salario primarily focuses on securities law and complex commercial litigation. A graduate of The American University, he earned a law degree in 1995 from the University of Florida College of Law.

Ward Rovell hires

Huse as associate

Stacey A. Huse is a new associate at Ward Rovell & Van Eepoel PA, Tampa. She practices in the employee benefits group.

A DePauw University graduate, Huse earned a law degree in 1997 from the University of Louisville Louis D. Brandeis School of Law.

Keith Lichtman joins

Mills Paskert Divers

Phillip Keith Lichtman is a new associate at Mills Paskert Divers PA. He practices in the areas of business litigation and fidelity and surety litigation. He earned bachelor's and law degrees from the University of Alabama.

Fowler White hires

new associate

Megan J. Ochs, formerly of Armstrong Teasdale LLP in Kansas City, Mo., has joined Fowler White Boggs Banker as an associate in St. Petersburg. Ochs has a law degree from the University of Kansas School of Law. She will practice in the firm's health care practice group.
