joins Healthy Start board

Nestor J. Rivera, an associate with Fowler White Boggs Banker, was elected to the board of directors for the Healthy Start Coalition of Hillsborough County. Rivera practices in the area of health care litigation, class action litigation and commercial litigation.

Tampa attorney elected

to Florida Bar committee

Noel McDonnell of Macfarlane Ferguson & McMullen was appointed to the Florida Bar Eminent Domain Committee. McDonnell has served on the Florida Real Estate Commission since 2001.

Law firm renews

lease at SunTrust Centre

Buchanan Ingersoll PC, one of the largest 110 firms in the nation, recently renewed its lease for 14,260 square feet of office space at SunTrust Financial Centre in downtown Tampa. The firm's Tampa location has been at 401 E. Jackson St. since 1997.

New associates join

Tampa's GrayRobinson

Lisa Allen and Cheryl Thompson recently joined GrayRobinson's Tampa office as associates.

Allen, a 2000 graduate of the University of Florida College of Law, previously worked for Cohn & Cohn PA. She practices in the area of commercial litigation and focuses on banking law.

Thompson, a former judicial clerk to then U.S. Bankruptcy Judge C. Timothy Corcoran III, focuses on commercial litigation, bankruptcy and creditors' rights.

recognition for its diversity

The Minority Law Journal ranked Carlton Fields PA among the top 50 law firms in the country for its diverse workforce. The firm's Diversity Committee strives to increase the representation of minority lawyers in the firm.
