TAMPA — Archslate, a talent marketplace for the architecture, engineering and construction industry, has raised $700,000 in an oversubscribed pre-seed funding round, exceeding its goal by $250,000.
The round, according to a news release, was led by Tampa Bay Ventures, Seedfunders and New York Angels.
Archslate, headquartered at Embarc Collective in Tampa, was founded in May by Vaishnavi More. In addition to functioning as a job board, the platform also provides e-learning and hiring automation services.
More, the firm’s CEO, founded Archslate in response to rising demand for skilled workers in the AEC industry. In less than a year, the company’s staff has grown to 16, and it plans to double its workforce by the end of 2022 and launch a new platform for freelance workers.
“Archslate is the future of the AEC industry,” More states in the release. “The need for top-talent hiring and skilled workforce has been booming, only further accelerated by the pandemic, and Archslate brilliantly taps into this market.”
The company’s platform has already attracted 200 users and 47 employers, the release states, resulting in 16 hires.
