Ryan Perrone, a 2019 Business Observer 40 Under 40 winner, is shining in the spotlight once again. The Sarasota-based company he co-founded and is also president of, Nautilus Homes, has been recognized as the Florida Builder of the Year by the Florida Association of the American Institute of Architects.

Coined as Florida’s most prestigious architectural award program, the AIA Florida/Caribbean Honor and Design Awards look for the people behind the best buildings and spaces. The Builder of the Year award is given to a company or firm within the state that exemplifies a “sincere and genuine interest in encouraging and affecting outstanding craftsmanship and workmanship and a substantial body of work,” a press release states.

“I am honored to be recognized for this award,” Perrone says in a statement. “Reaching such a goal at this point in my career is only achievable with having amazing people surrounding me.

Sarasota-based Nautilus Homes will receive the award July 30 at a ceremony in Palm Beach. Perrone is well known within the industry for pushing the boundaries of technology and environmental consciousness. He was also recently named a Florida Certified Master Builder, one of three in Sarasota.
