Southeastern Home Services — a newly formed, St. Petersburg-based residential home services provider that specializes in HVAC, plumbing, replacement and maintenance — has acquired Hudson-based Mario’s Air Conditioning & Heating in a deal backed by WhitneyWilder, a family office with locations in St. Pete and Charleston, South Carolina.

According to a news release, Southeastern Home Services plans to make several more acquisitions this year in the home-services industry.

“We're thrilled to welcome Mario's Air Conditioning & Heating to the Southeastern Home Services family of brands,” Southeastern Home Services CEO Tom Birchard states in the release. “Mario's AC has been providing excellent service to homeowners and homebuilders across the greater Tampa area for 25 years. We are excited to partner with Mario’s AC President Mario Zoraja to grow this business and build upon the legacy he and his company have already established.”

Mario’s Air Conditioning & Heating, the release states, is a family-owned business that was founded in 1997. Zoraja will remain a partial owner of the company and continue to oversee its operations. Other terms of the deal, including acquisition cost, were not disclosed in the release.

“We're really excited to join the Southeastern Home Services family,” Zoraja states in the release. “Southeastern Home Services provides experience, expertise, support and strategic relationships that will help take this business to the next level. We also believe our customers will see value in a network of companies that can provide for their HVAC, plumbing and electrical needs."
