FORT MYERS — A new Hampton Inn by Hilton is coming to downtown Fort Myers.
The four-story Hampton Inn will be on downtown Fort Myers’ main traffic artery, Cleveland Avenue, and will feature 118 rooms, an outdoor pool and patio area, a flexible boardroom and a fitness center, according to a statement. Situated on a two-acre lot, the 65,000 square foot building will be an infill lot development that will take about one year to complete before it opens to guests, the release adds. Construction is expected to begin later this month, after a virtual groundbreaking ceremony.
The builder is Sarasota-based Firmo Construction in partnership with hospitality and development group, HOS Management from Savannah, Ga.
“Firmo is excited to partner with this leading hotel development team to bring the Fort Myers area a new hospitality opportunity,” Firmo Construction President Eric Collin says in the release. “Though the industry has had its setbacks this year, our team is ready to bring the construction and technology expertise needed to safely and efficiently deliver this hotel, which will help promote tourism and hospitality in our region. And with multiple completed Hilton builds in the Gulf Coast, I’m excited to continue our relationship with the Hilton brand.”
Firmo Construction and HOS Management will work alongside, architecture and engineering team Base4 and civil engineering team Morris Depew on the project.
