Commercial real estate brokerage firm JLL has hired Tim Rivers, a former Cushman & Wakefield and Newmark Grubb Knight Frank executive, to lead its offices throughout the state.

Rivers comes to JLL from Cushman & Wakefield, where he for the past five years had worked as Senior Managing Director of Asset Services.

As Florida Market Director, Rivers will oversee JLL offices in Tampa, Orlando, Jacksonville, Miami, Maitland, Coral Gables and oversee business lines ranging from tenant representation to leasing and property management to capital markets efforts. He will be based in Tampa.

In all, Rivers has more than two decades of experience in commercial real estate. Prior to his work at Cushman & Wakefield, Rivers was Regional Director of Management Services and Managing Director of brokerage services at the then-Newmark Grubb Knight Frank.

He also worked at commercial brokerage and services firm CBRE, as Director of Asset Services. There, he was part of a team that grew the company’s property management portfolio in Florida by more than 30 million square feet in six years.
