ESTERO — Fort Myers real estate firm Cameratta Cos. recently completed the acquisition of three parcels along Corkscrew Road in Lee County.

The new ownership consolidates hundreds of acres under the new proposed development of Verdana Village, according to a statement. “We are excited to close on this transaction that completes our acquisition of the entire 2,138 acres we will need to continue our successful working relationship with our builder partners Pulte Homes and Lennar for Verdana Village,” Cameratta Cos. CFO Dominic Cameratta says in the release.

Financial terms of the deal weren’t disclosed.

The plans for Verdana Village, six miles east of Interstate 75 with direct access and frontage on the south side of Corkscrew Road, includes resort-inspired amenities and extensive environmental restoration and conservation enhancements. Proposed plans for the project include up to 2,400 single-family homes, from Pulte Homes and Lennar, the release states.

Plans for Verdana Village are under review by Lee County officials, and, pending approval, offsite construction along Corkscrew Road will begin in nine to 12 months, with onsite development expected to begin in 18 months.
