CPA firm managing shareholder picked to oversee national organization

FORT MYERS —Sharon Thompson, leading partner and managing shareholder of certified public accounting and consulting firm Hughes, Snell & Co., has been named 2019 chairwoman of the board of directors of CPAmerica International.

She is the first woman chair in the 40-year history of the organization, according to a statement. 

CPAmerica International is one of the world’s largest networks of independent CPA firms, the release adds. The organization brings together partners from member firms across the United States for networking and continuing professional education.

Located at 1470 Royal Palm Square Boulevard in Fort Myers, Hughes, Snell & Co. is a full-service accounting firm that has provided tax, accounting and business advisory solutions to Southwest Florida clients since 1974.
