What do a landscaping firm CEO, a pioneer in the food brokerage business and a nationally known online Amish furniture retailer have in common?

They are each three of six business leaders who will be honored at the Business Observer’s Top Entrepreneur luncheon, scheduled for Thursday, May 12. That trio — Brandon Duke with Juniper Landscaping in Fort Myers, Cammie Chatterton with Bay Food Brokerage in Tampa and Jim Miller with JMX Brands in Sarasota — will join three others at the event. Those three are Pete Maldonado with Chomps in Naples, Erin Meagher with Beneficial Blends in Tampa and Willy Nunn with Homes by WestBay in Tampa.

In addition to honoring these six entrepreneurs, the event will include some significant takeaways for attendees — namely actionable tips on how to be better at your business. Three of the winners — Duke, Meagher and Nunn — will participate on a panel where they will talk about how they grew their companies and overcame obstacles, pandemic and otherwise. There will be other essential takeaways, too.

The event is Thursday, May 12 at Grove Ballroom, 10670 Boardwalk Loop, Lakewood Ranch. Registration and networking is from 11:30 am to noon, and the lunch and program runs noon to 1:30 pm.
